I am so very happy to have received this book and introduced to a most entertaining group of people as well as the interesting fact/fiction section in the back of the book . I look forward to reading the the rest of your published works .It is hard to find great authors , you had me hooked from the first page again thank you so much for sharing you incredible story telling gift . -Phil D.

I have just finished reading the book and what an enjoyable journey it was. Congratulations on the level of research that went into positioning the characters in their time and place, both historically and culturally. That really enhanced the credibility of the storyline. In fact, the detail was so up close and personal one could be led to think you were tracing your own ancestry, albeit safely veiled. Keep the wealth well hidden. -John H.

One of the best books I have read in a long time!  Couldn't put it down. Thanks for writing it! -Rita D.

Just wanted to let you know how much I  loved your new book!!   You were right, I could not put it down!!  I read all 484 pages in 4 days!!  I enjoy all the books you write so much!! -Suzanne B.

I have finished your book (on Myrtle Beach) and I must say, it was a lot of fun. Your creativity and attention to detail mixed with history was great. Your appendixes were both interesting and very helpful. I grew up in Lexington, so being from the Boston area, I loved the references to early America. -Doug A.

I just completed reading The Family Rakusko and wanted you to know how much I enjoyed your book. I bought It this summer when I met you at the crafts fair in Cotuit but didn’t start reading it until recently. I could not put it down. I normally read non fiction but I will look for your other books to see if this fiction delight was a one time deal or that you may have converted me! Thank you again for a great read. -Joel B.

I just finished reading your book and wanted to share how much I enjoyed it. It was very entertaining reading about several generations of a family of con artists who made it a family business. I also like how Mary transitioned the business to a legitimate one.

I would’ve liked to have known more about Sandee’s mom.

I found it hard to dislike any of the characters. My favorites were Clara Dean, Tommie and Mary. I admit I wanted to dislike Egbert but the more I read about him, the more I actually felt sorry for him. I also don’t have enough info to dislike Sandee’s mom, Flora.

Thank you for an entertaining read. Historical fiction is not typically my preferred genre but this book was very enjoyable. -Monica D.

I wanted to tell you,  I sat down with the book one Saturday and read the 1st 140 pages, and didn't want to put it down!!! -Sandee
